As I continue to build my own little Camelot, I’ve come to the realization that I have a great deal to learn. I want to share with you some great websites out there that have helped me in my journey. Here are 10 great resources for you guys out there in need of some inspiration.
The Shepherd’s Scrapbook (A Cross Centered Blog) has a couple of great articles about cross centered manhood and marriage. The first one I came across is titled Interview with C.J. Mahaney on biblical masculinity. It’s an excellent read and the article can be downloaded in .pdf for off line reading. It will inspire you to look at your relationship with your wife in a whole new way.
Another great post is titled What Christ wishes every husband knew about marriage. The title just makes you want to read it! And trust me, you’ll want to check it out. It humbles me every time I read it…it’s not an easy read, but one that I think every man and woman can benefit from.
One thing that I struggle with is the need to change yourself in order to help and empower others. It’s such a radical way of thinking for me that is often unclear and questionable. I’ve lived most of my life looking out for myself (trying to get through high school, getting into and through college, getting a job, getting a raise, etc) that is hard to change that train of thought. It’s hard to realize that your job now is to give your life to others.
Read the posts above and let it sink in…it just might make you pretty upset, but keep reading and thinking about it and you might come one step closer to a better Camelot.

Kris: This is truly fantastic. Today I was listening to a secular radio station and I heard some things that I didn’t really care for, usually pertaining to infidelity. I changed to a Christian station, which I hadn’t done for a while, and I felt so much better about my drive to work. I love these tips, and I will be sure to remember them when I am a father someday. Thanks for the great read. I added you to our BlogRoll.
@Laura & Kris:
Thank you both for your kind words and comments. I’m glad you found something here that you like.
Becoming a father is one of the most rewarding and humbling things that can happen to a man. It’s not easy - but that’s why it is so rewarding.
