Follow Building Camelot on Twitter

twitter-logo.jpg When I first heard about Twitter, I thought “How boring! Who in the world CARES what you’re doing all the time?” I didn’t understand the power of Twitter and now I’m trying to play catch-up.

After reading the FAQ’s @ Alltop.com, I decided to start using Twitter. Maybe I can build some love for Building Camelot and use it to find some inspiration for future articles.

First off, you can follow me on Twitter here: http://twitter.com/BuildingCamelot. Second, I plan on using Twitter as a mini-Building Camelot. When I come across something that I find interesting, but don’t want to blog about it, I’ll put it out there on Twitter. I’m not sure if that’s the best way to use twitter, but that’s what I’m going with now.

If you follow me on Twitter, I plan on treating you like a reader of Building Camelot. I hope to provide some great additional content via twitter. You can also see what’s going on in my twitter world by clicking on the Twitter tab in my right sidebar.

Hope to see you around!

  1. Tyler - it’s good to see you on Twitter and interact. I think that we’re both starting to see the value in it, but it sure can be a little overwhelming at times. In the last few weeks, I’ve made several new friends, and I’ve been able to network effectively. My blogs have received additional exposure too, including a link from ProBlogger and more. I hope more dads come and join us, as well as participate. -Jeremy @ Discovering Dad and jnbammer on Twitter

  2. I’m also on Twitter. I got linked on ProBlogger (twice) and been mentioned a few other places b/c of it.

My thoughts are with Jeremy - how to get more dads & husbands to join us on Twitter. Maybe we should start the Twitter Husbands & Dads club… ;)

  4. @Jeremy: I hope to see more dads on twitter too. I think a lot of dads out there aren’t as nerdy as us, but it is an easy way to communicate.
@AGoodHusband: Twice on Problogger? That’s pretty cool. I’d like to start a club. Any idea how to start one?
@Xbox: Glad to see you on twitter and thanks for following me.

  5. We have a Twitter set up for Mommy Daddy Blog (http://twitter.com/mommydaddyblog), but I haven’t really taken the time to play around with it. And I know I’m sitting on a networking goldmine. I think I’m going to start devoting a little time in every day to Twitter.

By the way, following you now ;-)

  7. Lol, I just signed up with twitter the other day as well after holding out for awhile with the mindset that I just didn’t see the need for it. BTW, you’re now being followed. ;)

I like the idea of adding exposure for dad/husband bloggers using twitter as well.

  8. @Greg: Awesome! Glad to have you on Twitter. Hope to see you around.
@ Wornoutwoman: Also glad to see you on Twitter. Thanks for following me.
@Derek: Good to hear from you. Dads need to get together on Twitter - it’s a great resource to get to know one another and hopefully open up some communication.

  9. I’ve started to put together a list of dads/husbands on twitter and will have a post published early Monday morning (Chicago time). I’ve spent some time going through twitter trying to find people that I know are dads and have a nice list started, although it will certainly be a living list as I have just started there and still finding my way around.

  10. [...] everyone signing up with twitter, I’ll admit that I had thoughts similar to Tyler over at Building Camelot as I just didn’t see the appeal to being a “twit” - even though I understood the [...]
