It’s hard to imagine now but the college football season is only about a month away. If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to watch your team go head to head with their biggest rival.

If you’re an avid fan of college football, you’ve probably already seen this floating around the message boards. If not, I want to share with you the best college football schedule of the season. This excel file has the entire college football schedule laid out visually and is very easy to read. See below for a list of the divisions and conferences included in the file.

Unlike many guys out there, I’m not what you’d call a “big” sports fan. I enjoy watching the games, but I don’t live my life around sitting in front of the TV to catch the game (that’s what DVR’s are for right?).

The schedule includes almost every college football team, presented visually, for easy reading. The divisions/conferences included are as follows:

  1. ACC – Atlantic Division
  2. ACC – Coastal Division
  3. Big 12 – Northern Division
  4. Big 12 – Southern Division
  5. Big East Conference
  6. Big 10 Conference
  7. Conference USA – Eastern Division
  8. Conference USA – Western Division
  9. Independent
  10. Mid-American Conference – Western Division
  11. Mid-American Conference – Eastern Division
  12. Mountain West Conference
  13. Pacific 10 Conference
  14. Southeastern Conference – Eastern Division
  15. Southeastern Conference – Western Division
  16. Sun Belt Conference
  17. Western Athletic Conference
  18. …and the Games of the Week

If you don’t already have WinZip installed on your machine, you’ll need some sort of unzipping software to open the file. There are quite a few freebies out there that you can download and use to extract the file.

If you’d rather just receive the Excel (.xls) file, just leave me a comment and I’ll email you the original file.

Hope you all enjoy and Go Big Orange!

  • This is an awesome piece of work. I saw it last year.

I love College Football but to this Tarheel it is just a warm up to the best season there is - basketball. Only a few more months to Midnight Madness.
  • @ DCUrbanDad: I hear ya! I hope Memphis has another great basketball season this year! It's always exciting when the home team does well.
  • Brilliant article. It is really interesting and I enjoyed reading it, I will recommend this blog to my friends!

Amazing job. Thank you for sharing. Any chance we will see something similar for the 2008-2009 NCAAM BB Season?

Can you put one of these together for next season asap so I can plan some road trips? Thanks.
  • @Nick: I'm neither the owner or creator of this file. See my comment to @JGordon...Fan - I received this file via email about a month ago and just wanted to share it with my readers. If anyone can find out where this came from I'd love to give the guy credit.
